Qualifications, experience, and a genuine obsession with getting it right — welcome to Howling Success. My name is Jess and I’m committed to providing you and your family with the most up-to-date, evidence-based dog training methods, ideals, and ethics.

Jess & Odin Sandstrom

After leaving a career in security services, I began working with animals in 2012 as a kennel hand at Monika’s Doggie Rescue — and I haven’t looked back since.

I specialise in dogs with aggression, reactivity, and anxiety, and I’m just as passionate about supporting the human on the other end of the lead as I am about the dog. Over the last five years I’ve expanded into working alongside councils and their rangers, and at the start of 2026 I officially launched my Menacing and Dangerous Dog Support Service — helping Greater Sydney families navigate declarations with expert behavioural guidance.

I’m also a huge advocate for scent work as a therapeutic tool for anxious, reactive, or busy teenage dogs. It’s one of the most underrated things you can do for a dog’s mental health.
